Client Contract and Policies
We are honored that you chose Fairytale Enchantment for your next event. To ensure that your event is a success, please look over the information below. We look forward to celebrating with you.

Liability: The Client agrees to hold and keep harmless Fairytale Enchantment and it’s characters from any and all property damages and/or bodily injury damage caused by the Client’s guests or Client and Fairytale Enchantment. Client agrees not to hold Fairytale Enchantment responsible for inclement weather or other Acts of God that may cause cancellation of the event.
Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your time slot. Your deposit is non-refundable. For your planning purposes, the deposit may be paid via a PayPal invoice, payable via PayPal balance or debit/credit card. Under no circumstances do we accept checks. Once we have received your deposit your event time and date will be reserved. Payment of the deposit indicates agreement to the terms and conditions listed here.
Balance: The remaining balance will be due in cash to the performer(s) when they make their departure from the event. As a reminder we are not authorized to accept checks. If you wish to pay the balance via PayPal online, please notify Fairytale Enchantment via email and pay the balance, in full, 24 hours before the event. *ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS AFTER PERFORMANCE IS COMPLETED*
Gratuity: Gratuity for the performer(s) is by no means required, however if you feel the characters were exceptional in their work, a gratuity is always appreciated.
Travel Charges: Please note that events farther than 10 miles from our headquarters in West Hartford, CT will be charged an extra fee of $1.0/mile in one direction outside of the 10 mile radius.
Additional Time: Please understand that a timely departure is necessary in order for the performer(s) to safely commute to their next event. If the Client wishes a performer(s) to stay longer than the booked time, the Client must discreetly discuss it with the performer(s), away from the children and other guests, at least 15 minutes before the end of the event. Staying additional time is at the discretion of the performer(s). Each performer will be paid $30 in cash for each additional 15 minutes they stay. If a performer(s) foresees that an event could run longer than expected, they may discreetly ask if the client would like the character to stay longer.
Performer Interactions: From the moment of arrival until departure, our performer(s) will remain in character! Please refrain from referring to the performer by their given name, or asking questions about the costume or company. We would love to answer these questions outside, after the event, with no little eyes or ears nearby, or via e-mail or Facebook! Please help us to keep the magic alive!
Performer Requests: While we do our best to accommodate special requests, we cannot guarantee requests for specific performers. All of our performers are beautiful, highly trained entertainers and actors.
Substance Use: We do not allow smoking, alcohol, or the use of any substances of abuse while our characters are in attendance at an event. The costumes and property of Fairytale Enchantment are very valuable and will not be subject to smoke of any kind which can damage the costume. Any guest smoking or drinking will be asked to step outside. Failure to comply will result in the character leaving the event immediately with full compensation from the client.
Performer Rights: If at any time the performer(s) feels that they are in a threatening, hostile, unsafe, harmful, hazardous, or unsanitary environment, the performer is required to leave with full compensation from the client. The performer(s) are also required to depart immediately if the client is negligent, absent, inattentive, disrespectful, and/or inebriated or under the influence of any foreign substance.
Piñata: For the protection of our performer(s) and to retain the integrity of the performance, Fairytale Enchantment does not allow the use of piñatas during the time that the character is present. Piñatas may be done before the performer(s) has arrived or after the performer(s) has departed.
Pets/Animals: For the protection of our performer(s) and of our gowns, pets are to be leashed and away from the performer(s). Failure to comply will result in the character leaving the event immediately with full compensation from the client.
Damage: We understand that accidents happen, however, the client may be held responsible for damage sustained to costumes and property of Fairytale Enchantment during Client’s event. The cost to replace/repair damaged/broken costumes or materials will be billed to the Client.
Discipline and Non-Participation: Once the performer(s) arrives on site until they depart the event they are responsible for the flow of the event and activities. As such the performer(s) relies on the The Client to monitor disruptive behavior and attend to any child who does not want to participate.
Adults at Event: We ask that the parent(s) or guardian(s) of the birthday child please stay for the duration of the event to attend to the possible needs of the children. Adults are welcome to stay and enjoy the performance, but we ask that onlookers keep the noise level to a minimum so the children do not get distracted and can adequately hear instructions from the character.
Allergies: To ensure the safety of the guests The Client must inform Fairytale Enchantment of any allergies to food or products such as nail polish, latex, acrylics, temporary tattoos, or face paints prior to the event for fairytale. The Client understands that Fairytale Enchantment is not responsible for any injuries or allergic reactions that occur as a result of participation at Client’s event.
Weather Conditions: For the sake of our performers safety and the maintenance of our equipment/gowns/wigs, we will not perform events outdoors in temperatures below 65F or exceeding 80F. If there is any form of inclement weather (rain, hail, wind, snow, etc.), with any level of severity, the client assumes full responsibility to find an indoor alternate venue and notify Fairytale Enchantment with a minimum of 24 hours notice. If finding an indoor venue is for any reason not possible, a "rain date" may be scheduled on an available date. If no date can be settled upon, this contract shall become null and void, balance payments shall be refunded, and both parties shall have no further legal recourse against each other.
Force Majeure: If either party must cancel the engagement due to an “Act of God”, “Force Majeure”, riot, strike, epidemic, or by the order of any public authority, a “rain date” may be arranged on an available date. If no date can be settled upon, this contract shall become null and void, balance payments shall be refunded, and both parties shall have no further legal recourse against each other.
Exclusivity: To maintain the magic and integrity, Fairytale Enchantment does not permit other princess companies or guests impersonating a character to be in attendance at any event we are performing at. In the event that another company should be present, the client will be required to ask the other company to leave, or Fairytale Enchantment will immediately depart with full compensation.
